We’re delighted to be joined by two of Northern Ireland’s most exciting Directors for a chat about their previous work, ambitions and perhaps to pick up some words of wisdom about developing of a project, through idea, to pre and post production.
Also we’ll chat about the Northern Irish Filmmaking community, The importance of music and working with the Likes of Liam Neeson and Lesley Manville.
We are also lucky to be joined by Award winning Producer, Director and Screenwriting Coach Colin McKeown, a regular collaborator of Lisa and Glen’s, to chat before hand on the importance of collaboration in the script writing process, picking up some tips and tricks on the process and how to get a foothold in order to get a project up on its feet and how to best position yourself with regards to funding.

Lisa Barros D’Sa is a film Director, Writer and producer. Barros D’Sa studied English at University of Oxford and holds an MA in Screenwriting from London University of the Arts.
Glenn Leyburn is a Director and Producer.
Glenn became a filmmaker after working successfully for many years as a graphic designer, predominantly in the music industry. He is known in particular for his collaborations with soundtrack composer and music producer David Holmes. Glenn started out designing album covers and subsequently became a record label art director, he has also directed several music promos. This ongoing collaboration led Glenn, David and Lisa Barros D’Sa to set up their production company Canderblinks Film and Music.
Collectively, they are known for their films Cherrybomb, Good Vibrations, The 18th Electricity Plan and Ordinary Love.
Producer/Director Colin McKeown has made over 30 short films and worked for agencies as an Executive producer commissioning films and developing new talent. His work has garnered a BAFTA and a nomination for the Cannes Film Festival. He continues to mentor and help new entrants with the first steps in their careers.
Colin has contributed to a number of Award winning projects in various roles.
